INFO FOR ARTISTS

We're always interested in hearing great new material from new artists. If you're an artist and you have some music you'd like to include on this site, we'd like to know about it.

THE NUTS AND BOLTS

This is a purely free promotional opportunity for artists who seek more exposure for their music. We don't charge you to be a part of the site. Neither do we pay you for letting us include your music here. This site is an honest attempt to bring more attention to independent Christian music by targeting it to those who are interested in that musical genre.

We only include full-length, high-quality MP3s here. In order words, we have no interest in 30-second samples of songs, or lower-quality MP3s offered as an inducement to purchase your CD. 128kbps is the standard that's been selected by the big online music stores...so that's what we're using here for the time being. So...why not edits or lower quality? It's very simple. This is a busy world, filled with lots of distractions. Our philosophy is that we'd better be offering something of legitimate value in exchange for the attention of visitors to our web site.

Because of the disk space and bandwidth involved, there are significant costs involved in maintaining a site of this nature. Rather than seeking donations to cover our costs, we have some ads on the site. So it's not a big money venture.

Please be forewarned that we are VERY picky about the material we select for inclusion here. We want you to know that in advance. We'll turn away more music here than we accept. That doesn't mean that we don't believe you have talent, and that we don't wish you all success in your efforts. It simply means that we know what we're looking for here, and we didn't see your music as a good fit.

All that being said, if you still want to submit some material for inclusion here, please send us a note from the Contact page to indicate your interest. If your music is already online on your own site or elsewhere, it would save some time if you could send us a link so we can listen before we get back with you. Thanks!
